Hey folks, as many of you know I've been elbows-deep in several non-music projects this year - the big one: directing and producing the CG feature film A Chill of Distant Eyes, and various comic book and art projects related to the film. This week I've been wrangling voice overs and digital content, working on merch designs, and prepping several shots for comp (for detailed updates head over to StarForce7.com).
So a few of you have asked when I'm going to get back to some music - well...it's true I've been busy with pushing the Star Force 7 film into the production stage, and even though I'm retired (in the Ozzy sense) from touring and bands, music has never been far. I've been working on various tracks for the film, Posertrax products, and even a couple of ambient tracks that will hopefully be available at the FiXT Store in the next few months. Will it be an EP or singles? TBD - but will let you guys know when the time comes.
Speaking of announcements, tonight I confirmed a benefit gig for September 18th - will post the venue/charity info soon. Brent Bowers and I are also going to be playing a few acoustic duo shows over the next few months, and I'll post some dates once I know more. See, retirement isn't all checkers 'n' golf!
In other good news I've turned a spare room at home into a temporary edit room and am still working out of the Skyline Studios facility when the occasion calls for it. I just wrapped a score for a software demo reel that will be showing at Siggraph (details next week) and this week will be finishing up the animation and video editing for that reel. My other big summer project has been handling foley work, sound design, scoring, and location audio for Mutantville Productions' Respawner: The Web Series. Right now I'm working on the trailer score. Really. RIGHT now. As in, tonight.

More updates soon; I know I've sorely neglected this site so far this year, but now that I've settled into a rhythm with production on Star Force 7, and Candace is helping with the SF7 social media, I'll do my best to post regular updates on non-SF7 projects here. And hopefully, release some new music soon. :)
